Caring
We looked for evidence the provider involved people and treated them with compassion, kindness, dignity and respect. At our last assessment, we rated this key question as good. At this assessment, the rating remains the same.
This service scored 75 (out of 100) for this area. Find out what we look at when we assess this area and How we calculate these scores.
Kindness, compassion and dignity
The provider always treated people with kindness, empathy and compassion and respected their privacy and dignity.
The provider had arrangements in place to promote people's privacy and dignity. Patients could request a private conversation with reception staff, a private room was available when required, and longer appointments were offered where appropriate to meet individual needs.
Staff demonstrated a compassionate and person-centred approach to care, including providing support to vulnerable or socially isolated patients and their families during difficult times. Feedback from people using the service was consistently positive, supported by thank you cards and patient comments.
This was reflected in the results of the 2026 National GP Patient Survey, where 100% of respondents found the reception and administrative team helpful, compared with an ICS average of 88% and a national average of 85%. In addition, 94% of respondents said the healthcare professional they saw or spoke with was good at treating them with care and concern, compared with an ICS average of 88% and a national average of 86%.
