Date of assessment: 23 to 25 September 2026
Crystalline business solutions is a domiciliary care agency providing personal care to people in their own homes. At the time of our assessment there were supporting 13 people with their personal care.
We undertook this assessment due to the time since our last assessment. This was a comprehensive assessment covering all quality statements across our 5 key questions.
People felt safe receiving support from Crystalline business solutions. Staff had assessed risks to people’s safety and management plans were in place to mitigate the risk. Staff had completed safeguarding adults training, and the registered manager had systems in place to ensure appropriate reporting to the local authority safeguarding team.
Staff were aware of and adhered to the Mental Capacity Act 2005, ensuring they obtained people’s consent prior to providing care. People and their families were involved in their assessments and decisions about their care. Support plans were in place identifying what support people required and how this was to be delivered. However, we noted that additional information could be included about people’s interests and hobbies to further personalise care delivery. The registered managed took on board this feedback and told us they would incorporate this information.
Staff adhered to safe medicines management and infection prevention and control procedures.
Staff were supported in their roles and had completed the provider’s mandatory training. Competency checks were undertaken to ensure staff had retained the information they learnt. The management team undertook a regular programme of spot checks, supervision and audits to ensure staff adhered to the provider’s policies and procedures and provided care in line with people’s support plans.
Staff, people and relatives felt comfortable speaking with the management team, and felt any concerns raised would be learnt from. The management team had been working with the local authority to develop and improve practices at the service, including moving across to a digitalised records system and improving management oversight arrangements.
