All Inspections

During an assessment under our new approach

We carried out this announced on-site inspection on 7 October 2026.

We found the practice had met regulations.

The practice had effective systems to identify and manage risks, including infection prevention and control.

Staff had the skills, knowledge and experience to carry out their roles.

Recruitment procedures reflected current legislation and there was effective leadership and a culture of continuous improvement.

Staff provided care and treatment in line with current guidance. They treated patients with dignity and respect and ensured access to care, support, and treatment when required.

Park Lane Dental Care is part of Colosseum Dental UK, a dental group provider. The practice is in Waterlooville, Hampshire and provides NHS and private dental care and treatment for adults and children.

There was step-free access to the practice and car parking spaces available, including dedicated parking for disabled people, near the practice.

The practice had 3 treatment rooms. At the time of our inspection, there was a total of 11 staff. We gathered feedback from staff and spoke to a range of staff during our inspection, including 1 dentist, 2 dental nurses, 1 dental hygienist, 1 receptionist and the practice manager. The Clinical Governance Lead for the group was also at the practice on the day of inspection to support staff.

6 June 2013

During a routine inspection

We were able to speak to patients at Best Practice CDA Ltd who told us that they had been treated with dignity and respect. They were happy with the care and treatment provided.

We spoke with four patients and they all made positive comments about members of staff. One person told us that they were initially afraid of visiting the dentist but after coming to the practice, they were assured and were delighted by the service provided.

We found the premises to be clean and well maintained. There were arrangements for infection control and the organisation undertook daily cleaning tasks.

People were cared for, or supported by, suitable qualified skilled and experienced staff. All staff received regular supervision and annual appraisals. There was new system for annual appraisals that had been introduced and members of staff were aware of this.

We found there were quality monitoring programmes in place, which included people giving feedback about their care and treatment. This provided a good overview of the quality of the service provided.
