Date of assessment: 14 July to 17 July 2026.
Dorset Supported Living is a service providing care and support to people in their own homes. At the time of this inspection, there were 11 people using the service.
We assessed the service against ‘Right support, right care, right culture’ guidance to make judgements about whether the provider guaranteed people with a learning disability and autistic people respect, equality, dignity, choices, independence and good access to local communities that most people take for granted. We considered this guidance as there were people using the service who have a learning disability and who are autistic.
The service promoted people’s independence and listened to and understood people’s needs, views and wishes. Care plans and risk assessments provided guidance to staff to keep people safe. Medicines were managed safely. Staff spoke positively about working at Dorset Supported Living and felt supported by management. Systems and processes were in place to review and monitor the safety and quality of care whilst driving improvements.
