We carried out this announced on-site inspection on 7 January 2026.
We found the practice had met regulations.
The practice had effective systems to identify and manage risks, including infection prevention and control.
Staff had the skills, knowledge and experience to carry out their roles.
Recruitment procedures reflected current legislation and there was effective leadership and a culture of continuous improvement.
Staff provided care and treatment in line with current guidance. They treated patients with dignity and respect and ensured access to care, support, and treatment when required.
The practice is in Brentwood, Essex and provides NHS and private Orthodontics and private general dental care and treatment for adults and children.
There were steps leading into the practice and a portable ramp was available to enable wheelchair users to access the practice. The practice provided dedicated parking for disabled people and car parking was available nearby.
The practice had 5 treatment rooms. At the time of our inspection, there was a total of 22 staff, of which there were 2 principal dentists, one of whom was a specialist orthodontist, 1 associate dentist, 6 dental nurses, 5 orthodontic therapists, 1 dental hygienist, 2 receptionists, 1 treatment coordinator who was also a dental nurse, 3 administrators and the practice manager. We gathered feedback from staff and spoke to a range of staff during our inspection, including 2 dentists, 3 dental nurses, 1 orthodontic therapist, the treatment coordinator, 2 receptionists and the practice manager.
