Condition of this registration relating to carrying out this regulated activity
a) Undertake audits of service user care plans and records (including risk assessments), where they are at risk of skin integrity complications and poor nutritional and hydration consumption, in order to identify those which contain inadequate or incomplete information. In particular, the registered provider must focus on person-centred care and the management of service users’ specific health conditions.
b) Undertake an audit of medicine management procedures (including PRN medicines).
c) Undertake an audit of all staff induction, training, competence and supervision specifically linked to safeguarding, skin integrity, and nutrition and hydration care.
d) Undertake a review of all existing audits/governance reporting within the service and assess their effectiveness.
e) The Registered Provider must send to the Care Quality Commission (the Commission) a report which confirms the dates on which these audits/reviews have taken place. This report must also include the actions taken, or proposed to be taken, in response to any findings within these audits/reviews. The first report should be sent to the Commission on or before Monday 2 June 2025, and then subsequently on the first Monday of every month thereafter.

The registered provider must only accommodate a maximum of 42 service users at Thornhill Nursing Home.
