Condition of this registration relating to carrying out this regulated activity

The registered provider must not provide personal care to any new service user from the location Bright Care Agency, Suite 3, Badger House, Oldmixon Crescent, Weston-super-Mare, BS24 9AY without the prior written agreement of the Care Quality Commission. The term ‘new service user’ includes any former service user or any service user discharged from hospital.

The registered provider must provide the Commission with all recruitment information obtained in relation to all staff employed by Bright Care Agency. This must be provided within three days of the date of this notice.

The registered provider must ensure they have received a current Disclosure and Barring Service check for all staff who provide personal care. Evidence of these checks must be provided to the Commission within three days of the date of this notice, including the names of the staff. This must include assurances that no staff member is providing care without a Disclosure and Barring Service check in place.

The registered provider must send a report to the Commission on the first day of each month with details of all newly recruited staff and their Disclosure and Barring check numbers.

The registered provider must ensure that all staff have received training and competency checks for the role which they are to undertake. Evidence of this training and checks must be submitted to the Commission within five days of the date of this notice together with an action plan setting out any further training required and the timescales for this.

The registered provider must obtain advice, from an independent expert in infection control practices, relating to safe infection prevention and control practices for home care services, specifically in respect of Covid-19, within five days of the date of this notice. Evidence of this advice must be submitted to the Commission.

The registered provider must submit a Covid-19 contingency plan and infection prevention and control audit to the Commission within two days of the receipt of the independent expert advice referred to in condition 6 and include evidence that the information has been disseminated to all staff.
