Well-led
Staff represented the vision, aims and objectives of the service and understood their role to achieve this. Managers were always visible and supportive, with staff wellbeing being a key focus. Managers helped staff develop and progress their careers. Staff were encouraged and empowered to speak up without fear and felt supported to give feedback. Leaders always responded to feedback and shared what changes had been made.
Managers had exceptional oversight of the quality of service being delivered. They were experienced and professional. The service had governance processes and risk management systems that were well structured, effective and consistent. Leaders encouraged a positive culture of continuous improvement to deliver high standards of care
Managers and staff engaged with commissioners and local community partners to support the local and wider population. The service made regular donations of equipment, time and money to local and national charities, this included sending medical supplies abroad for humanitarian causes.
