Accommodation for persons who require nursing or personal care

Terms of this registration relating to carrying out this regulated activity

The Registered Person must not admit any new service user without the prior written agreement of the Care Quality Commission. This includes any respite or emergency admissions of service users, any readmissions of previous service users, or where service users return to the location following admission to hospital.

The Registered Person must ensure all staff who support service users with nursing or personal care have received training in safe breakaway, sexuality and relationships, positive behaviour support and safeguarding adults. The Registered Person must confirm in writing to Care Quality Commission that this has been done, by no later than 12 April 2020.

The Registered Person must ensure if children from a nursery visit that all care staff involved have received safeguarding children training. The Registered Person must also ensure there is an adequate risk assessment in place for any nursery visits.

The Registered Person must ensure all care plans and risk assessments for service users are updated and disseminated to staff. The Registered Person must confirm in writing to Care Quality Commission that this has been done, by no later than 1 April 2020. On the first Monday of each month following this date the Registered Person must provide the Care Quality Commission with a written report giving assurance care plans and risk assessments are current and accurate.

The registered provider must not provide nursing care under accommodation for persons who require personal or nursing care at Curtis Weston House.

The registered provider must only accommodate a maximum of 44 service users at Curtis Weston House.
