On 30th January 2026 we carried out a comprehensive assessment of Lakeside Medical Diagnostics and independent health provider for NHS via GP referral only. Lakeside Medical Diagnostic have a contract with the local commissioning board to perform ultrasounds for patients.

Lakeside Medical diagnostics registered with CQC in 2012 to deliver the regulated activity: Diagnostic Imaging. Lakeside Medical Diagnostics do not perform antenatal scans for expecting people.

The service has one ultrasound room and we spoke to 6 staff members on the day of the assessment including 1 sonographer, 1 healthcare assistant, the registered manager and administrative staff.

This assessment was carried out as an aged rating. The last assessment was done in December 2018. The previous rating of Lakeside Medical diagnostics was Requires Improvement. At this assessment the overall rating has changed to Good.

Good

Updated 9 December 2025

We carried out an unannounced comprehensive age-related assessment of the diagnostic services. We looked to see whether appropriate systems and safeguards were in place to mitigate risks and uphold standards of clinical excellence.

As part of the assessment, we reviewed all quality statements under the five key questions: safe, effective, caring, responsive, and well-led. During and following the onsite element of the assessment, we spoke with 6 members of staff and reviewed 10 care pathways of patients who had attended the diagnostic centre. This comprehensive approach enabled us to assess the service’s performance across core domains of care delivery and governance.

The last assessment for this service was in February 2019 and it was rated as requires improvement. The overall rating for this service is now Good.
