Safe environments
At the inspection on 15 May 2025, we found the practice had made the following improvements to comply with the regulation:
Hazardous substances had been risk assessed, and they were clearly labelled and stored safely.
The practice had arrangements to ensure the safety of the X-ray equipment and the required radiation protection information was available. However, the practice should consider reviewing best practice guidance in relation to additional devices for restricting the size and shape of X-ray beams.
Safe and effective staffing
At the inspection on 15 May 2025, we found the practice had made the following improvements to comply with the regulation:
The practice had arrangements to ensure staff training, including continuing professional development, was up-to-date and reviewed at the required intervals. We checked training certificates for 8 members of staff on 15 May 2025. The provider should improve their oversight and assurance systems further to ensure all completed required levels of training were easily evidenced. We discussed this with staff and were assured this would be addressed.
