Updated 4 December 2025
The Piers is a care home providing personal care for up to 3 people with a learning disability and/or autistic people. There were 3 people living at the service during this inspection. The inspection was carried out between 5 December and 11 December 2025. This was a planned inspection.
We assessed the service against ‘Right support, right care, right culture’ guidance to make judgements about whether the provider guaranteed people with a learning disability and autistic people respect, equality, dignity, choices, independence and good access to local communities that most people take for granted.
Person centred care plans and risk assessments were in place for staff to follow. They were reviewed regularly. Staff knew people well and were observed treating people with kindness and dignity. People were encouraged to engage in activities meaningful to them. Staff received training and supervision to support them in their roles. Staff were positive about working at The Piers and felt supported. The provider had systems and processes in place to review and monitor the safety and quality of care.
