The provider understood the diverse health and care needs of people and their local communities, so care was joined-up, flexible and supported choice and continuity. Staff knew people well and provided consistent support. Care records reflected advice from healthcare professionals and were updated when people's needs changed. People, relatives and healthcare professionals gave positive feedback about the quality and consistency of care provided.

Equity in experiences and outcomes

The provider actively sought information about people who may experience inequality in their experiences or outcomes and tailored care, support and treatment in response to this. Care plans reflected people's communication, cultural and religious needs and demonstrated a personalised approach to care. Staff supported people with a range of physical, emotional and health needs, including those living with dementia and complex conditions. Reasonable adjustments were made where required and staff had received equality and diversity training. We found no evidence during the assessment that people experienced discrimination and feedback about people's experiences was positive. A staff member told us, “No one is discriminated against at Pavilion Court.”
