Personal care

Condition of this registration relating to carrying out this regulated activity

The registered provider must not provide personal care to any new service users from the location Nationwide Care Services (Derby), The Old Maltings, Forman Street, Derby, DE1 2JQ without the prior written agreement of the Care Quality Commission. The term “new” refers only to people who have not previously received personal care from you.

The registered provider must carry out a review of the governance and quality assurance and monitoring systems for the way you ensure that service users have been given the correct medicines, the way that you devise and implement care plans and risk assessments and the way you process complaints and make safeguarding referrals.

The registered provider must send to the Commission a written account of a quality assessment audit for these areas, which must identify:

• the improvements required,

• the reason why improvements are required,

• how planned improvements will be implemented, monitored and measured, the person responsible for bringing about improvements and the timescale.

The registered provider must send to the Commission an updated action plan on the first Monday of each month. The action plan must detail where you are in breach of the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations 2014 as specified in this notice, the improvements made in response and the impact those improvements had on the quality and safety of the service people receive. This will include any proposed revision of the action plan.
