People and their relatives felt they were regularly involved in the planning of their care and support, so it was centred around them and their needs.

A relative told us, "The carers are usually the same gender as [loved one] prefers, as they feel better understood and supported."

People using the service told us that they were given the opportunity to give their views. We saw the provider carried out a monthly welfare call asking for people’s feedback on the service.

People told us they felt listened to when they raised safety concerns. A relative told us, ‘’I have raised a concern, and it was resolved very quickly and efficiently. “

Care plans showed the provider made reasonable adjustments for people with protected characteristics, to remove barriers to care, support and treatment. For example, people with physical disabilities were supported with mobility aids to improve their experience.

People told us that support was provided to overcome language barriers. A relative told us, “The staff all speak our language which [loved one] understands so we have no problems at all.”
