Our current view of the service
Updated
14 August 2025
We carried out this announced inspection on 29 August 2025.
We found the practice had met regulations.
The practice had some systems to identify and manage risks. However, improvements could be made to ensure the practice actioned recommendations identified within the relevant risk assessments in a timely way.
Infection prevention and control procedures broadly followed published guidance. Improvements could be made to ensure that clinicians supervising and mentoring trainee dental nurses improved their understanding of the relevant guidance.
Staff had the skills, knowledge and experience to carry out their roles.
Recruitment procedures broadly reflected current legislation. Improvements could be made to ensure the provider obtained the required recruitment documentation at the point of employment.
There were some systems in place for continuous improvement and effective oversight by leadership.
Staff generally provided care and treatment in line with current guidance. They treated patients with dignity and respect and ensured access to care, support, and treatment when required.
The practice is in Wembley, in the London Borough of Brent, and provides private dental care and treatment for adults and children.
There was step-free access to the practice and car parking spaces available near the practice.
The practice had 2 treatment rooms. At the time of our inspection, there was a total of 8 staff, of which there were 4 dentists, 1 dental nurse, 1 trainee dental nurse, 1 receptionist and the practice manager. We gathered feedback from staff and spoke to a range of staff during our inspection, including the principal dentist, the receptionist and the compliance consultant.

Two weeks before our inspection, we asked the practice to encourage patients to share their views of the service with us. We received feedback from 15 patients. Patient feedback provided a positive view of the dental team and care provided by the practice.
Comments included, “Had treatment at the practice and found all the staff very pleasant and caring. A really nice experience and [the dentist] is always kind and gentle with me.”
Patients commented positively about the standards of cleanliness. One patient told us, “The hygiene of the surgery was always impeccable. The equipment were modern and technical. They always maintained a high level of general hygiene at the surgery in-terms of cleanliness and tidiness.”
Patients felt able to book appointments within an acceptable timescale for their needs and said they had enough time during their appointment without feeling rushed. One patient said, “The treatment was explained clearly, and I felt completely at ease throughout. Their gentle approach and attention to detail made all the difference.” Another patient told us, “When booking appointments, [the dentist] always worked around my availability and had her staff call me to remind me about it.”
Patients told us they were given clear information to help them make an informed choice about their treatment and any associated costs. They were involved in decisions about their care. One patient commented, “[The dentist] worked efficiently and in a very professional manner throughout the treatment programme and explained the whole process to us patiently and clearly at each stage.”
Patients told us that they were supported to maintain their oral health and were provided with appropriate information and resources.
The practice shared patient feedback with the team. We were told this was reviewed and where suggestions had been made, appropriate action would be taken.
