Date of assessment: 11 March to 26 March 2026. Chestnut Rise Nursing Home is a nursing home which provides personal care and nursing care to adults, some of whom were living with dementia or physical disabilities. Up to 21 people can reside at the service. At the time of our assessment 4 people were living at the service. We inspected the service due to concerns shared with CQC. We carried out a targeted assessment of the service, covering 6 quality statements. We found a breach of legal regulation in relation to fit and proper persons employed.
There were sufficient levels of contracted staff at the service to meet the needs of people who had appropriate training and supervision. However, we found that some people within the service were not employed but were actively involved in the delivery of the service without any contract of employment or employment checks carried out.
People and their relatives were involved in care planning and had the opportunity to ensure their preferences for care and support were recorded and followed.
