Our view of the service

Date of Assessment: 9 December 2025 to 28 January 2026.

The service is a supported living service providing support to people with a learning disability. We assessed the service against ‘Right support, right care, right culture’ guidance to make judgments about whether the provider guaranteed people with a learning disability and autistic people respect, equality, dignity, choices, independence and good access to local communities that most people take for granted. We found the provider was meeting these values.

The provider had a good learning culture and people could raise concerns without fear of negative ramifications.

The registered manager investigated incidents thoroughly. People were protected and kept safe. Staff understood and managed risks well.

The facilities and equipment provided met people’s needs, were kept clean and well-maintained and any risks were mitigated.

There were enough staff deployed with the right skills, qualifications and experience to meet people’s needs. The registered manager made sure staff received training and regular appraisals to maintain high-quality care.

Staff managed medicines well and involved people in planning any changes.

People's experience of this service

At this assessment 2 people were being supported with the regulated activity of personal care. We were able to speak directly with 1 person. They responded positively when we asked about the quality of their care. They told us they felt safe and were fully involved in planning their care and understood their rights.

Staff were knowledgeable and provided good care for people. People were treated as individuals and their wishes were always listened to and respected.

People explained staff treated them kindly and made sure any personal care was done sensitively, promoting their privacy and dignity.

People were offered and supported with many interesting activities to help keep them physically and mentally active.

Not everyone could tell us about their experience of using the service. However, our observations showed people were included and listened to and staff consistently interacted positively with them.

People knew staff and leaders well. A person told us they really enjoyed regularly seeing the provider who visited often.
