Condition of this registration relating to carrying out this regulated activity

The Registered Provider must not admit any new service user to Garside Nursing Home without the prior written agreement of the Care Quality Commission.

The Registered Provider must ensure there is sufficient, suitably qualified, managerial capacity present at Garside Nursing Home to ensure effective governance and oversight.

The Registered Provider must submit an action plan to the Care Quality Commission on the first Monday after this notice of decision is adopted and thereafter on the 28th day of each month until further notice. The action plan must detail the audits completed that month and must address any areas for improvement found in relation to the management of risk including safe handling of medicines, care planning, risk assessments, nutrition and hydration records, maintenance of the building, staff training and compliance with the Mental Capacity Act (2005). Within the action plan the timescales for completing actions, the staff designated to complete the action and dates of completion must be included.

The Registered Provider must only Accommodate a maximum of 40 service users at Garside House Nursing Home.
