During an assessment under our new approach
Date of assessment 3rd December 2025. Bradbury’s House provides accommodation for up to 50 people, who require nursing or personal care. At the time of inspection there were 46 people living at the home. This was a responsive inspection, and this was the first inspection since the home changed providers. Effective systems for auditing and oversight were embedded throughout the home and care delivery. The management team demonstrated strong capability and a thorough understanding of the home and the people living there. Staff told us, "Managers are approachable and always there to listen and there is always someone on site." Another staff member told us, "They are very approachable and supportive." Staff showed a good understanding people's care needs and how to support them effectively, as evidenced by feedback from both staff and relatives. We observed positive engagements between people and staff. Staff were clear about their roles and responsibilities, Staff described positive experiences of working at the home. There were relevant risk assessments in place for people, and these were viewed in care plans for identified needs. Staff told us, “There is an open culture of friendliness and teamworking." Staff also told us, “They felt privileged to work at Bradbury and enjoy the fast pace and the teamworking.” The kitchen strived to ensure that people were involved in the meal planning and menu choices and people felt involved and enjoyed this. The home had volunteers that visited and supported people with activities in communal areas and their rooms.
