During an assessment under our new approach

We carried out this announced on-site inspection on 02 June 2026

We found the practice had met regulations.

The practice had effective systems to identify and manage risks, including infection prevention and control.

Staff had the skills, knowledge and experience to carry out their roles.

Recruitment procedures reflected current legislation and there was effective leadership and a culture of continuous improvement.

Staff provided care and treatment in line with current guidance. They treated patients with dignity and respect and ensured access to care, support, and treatment when required.

The practice is in Uckfield, Kent and provides private dental care and treatment for adults and children.

There was step-free access to the practice and car parking spaces available, including dedicated parking for disabled people, near the practice.

The practice had 2 treatment rooms. At the time of our inspection, there was a total of 3 staff, of which there were 2 dentists and a dental nurse who also covered reception. We gathered feedback from staff and spoke to all of staff during our inspection.

1 November 2013

During a routine inspection

We spoke with three patients who had attended the surgery on the day of our inspection. They were all happy with the dental care and treatment they received. One patient said, " I have to say I am very pleased". Another said, "It's first class." The patients told us that the dentists always explained things to them and that they felt they could make informed decisions about their treatment. They said they usually knew how much their treatment would cost and were given a written treatment plan.

The practice had policies and procedures in place for safeguarding vulnerable adults and children. We spoke with one dentist, the practice manager and the dental nurse. All of them understood the relevance of safeguarding children and vulnerable adults in dentistry. This meant that patients who used the service were protected from the risk of abuse.

The practice had effective policies and procedures in place for controlling the risk of infection. We observed that the treatment rooms in the practice were kept clean and hygienic. One patient said, 'It's very clean and comfortable.'
