Person-centred Care

Score: 3

The service made sure people were at the centre of their care and treatment choices and they decided, in partnership with people, how to respond to any relevant changes in people’s needs. Care plans reflected physical, mental, emotional, and social needs of people including those related to protected characteristics under the Equality Act. Our review of clinical records showed people were supported to understand their condition and were involved in planning for their care needs. They were also involved in decisions about their care.

Providing Information

Listening to and involving people

Score: 3

The service made it easy for people to share feedback and ideas, or raise complaints about their care, treatment and support. They involved people in decisions about their care and told them what had changed as a result. The service had received one complaint in the last 12 months. We saw the complaint was managed in line with the clinic’s policy. Learning from the complaint was evident, which resulted in the revision of pricing information. Surveys were used to collect feedback on people’s overall experience after receiving operative procedures, to check their satisfaction rates and if they needed further treatment. Other sources of feedback used were verbal, Google website reviews and a ‘You Said, We Did’ board. The service had received a patient service award in 2025 for the second year running, which was based on independent data collected, focusing on excellence in patient care and communication.

Equity in access

Score: 3

The service made sure that people could access the care, support and treatment they needed when they needed it. People had direct access to the clinician before and after their appointment. An hour-long appointment gave people time to discuss their expectations. Costs were clearly explained and aftercare arrangements were available in both printed paper forms and online.

Equity in experiences and outcomes

Score: 3

Staff and leaders actively listened to information about people who are most likely to experience inequality in experience or outcomes and tailored their care, support and treatment in response to this. Feedback provided by people using the service, both to the provider as well as to CQC, was positive. Staff treated people equally and without discrimination.
