Condition of this registration relating to carrying out this regulated activity
The Registered Provider must not accept any new packages of care without the prior written agreement of the Care Quality Commission. The term ‘new packages of care’ also includes individuals who have previously received a service from Ideal Care Services Limited, any respite care packages, existing service users who are discharged from hospital or another care setting and return home.
The Registered Provider must develop and implement an effective system and/or process for the management of risk, in particular but not limited to complex needs, for example, diabetes management, epilepsy, pressure care and wound management, PEG care, respiratory care, this is to include:
a. An urgent review of all current care plans
b. A process for regular monitoring of risk assessments in particular when service user needs change
c. Details of how all staff have the most current (up-to-date) plan for each service user
A report demonstrating what actions you have taken to ensure service users’ needs can be met must be submitted to the Commission within 14 days of the date of this notice, and thereafter the first day of each month, for all service users.
The Registered Provider must provide the Care Quality Commission with report setting out the actions taken or to be taken in relation to Quality Assurance Processes, by 31 July 2026 and monthly thereafter on the first Monday. The report must also include the following:
a. Details of the system(s) and processes that are implemented to comply with the conditions,
b. Details of named individuals, timescales and confirmation of action taken to ensure the system(s) are being audited and monitored to improve the quality and safety of services
c. Details of mandatory staff training completion including on-going training
The Registered provider must ensure that staff are trained and competent to support service users safely. This includes, but is not limited to, training in relation to risks associated with epilepsy, diabetes, pressure area care and skin integrity, PEG care, respiratory care and medicine management within 14 working days of the date of this notice.
