Date of Assessment: 30 April to 20 May 2026

Beehive Care Training Group Ltd is a domiciliary care service providing personal care to adults living in their own homes, including people with physical disabilities, dementia, sensory impairment and mental health conditions. During the assessment we identified the provider was also supporting a person with a learning disability. The provider had a condition on their registration to state they should not support people with a learning disability. The provider had recently applied to have the condition removed from their registration, this had not been processed, and additional information had been requested from the provider. During the assessment the provider submitted a further application including the additional information requested to remove this condition.

We have assessed the service against ‘Right support, right care, right culture’ guidance to make judgements about whether the provider guaranteed people with a learning disability and autistic people respect, equality, dignity, choices, independence and good access to local communities that most people take for granted. The service applied the principles and values of Registering the Right Support and other best practice guidance. These ensure that people who use the service can live as full a life as possible and achieve the best possible outcomes that include control, choice, and independence.

The service was registered with the care quality commission (CQC) on 22 August 2024. This is the first assessment for this newly registered service. We have rated this service good.

People using the service consistently told us they felt safe and well supported. They described staff as kind, respectful and compassionate, and said staff knew them well, took time to listen and treated them with dignity. Relatives spoke positively about the reliability of the service and the reassurance they gained from staff’s approach.

Staff worked closely with health and social care professionals to support people’s wellbeing, facilitate timely referrals and ensure continuity of care.

Staff supported people to make decisions wherever possible and understood their responsibilities under the Mental Capacity Act 2005, ensuring care was delivered lawfully and respectfully.

There was a positive learning culture, supported by an open approach to reporting incidents, concerns and near misses. Managers reviewed safety events and identified learning to help reduce the risk of reoccurrence.

Risks within people’s home environments were assessed and managed, and infection prevention and control practices were followed.

Staff spoke positively about the management and culture of the service, describing managers as visible, approachable and supportive. The service had a positive, person‑centred culture and a committed staff team focused on delivering safe, compassionate and responsive care. Staff demonstrated a good understanding of people’s needs and how to keep people safe. They promoted independence, wellbeing and choice, using positive risk taking and flexible, person-centred approaches. People experienced meaningful improvements to their quality of life and felt supported to maintain their independence for as long as possible. The provider demonstrated a strong and embedded caring culture, and was exceptional at promoting kindness, compassion and dignity.

At the beginning of the assessment care plans did not always include clear guidance on risk management or provide clear medicines guidance for staff to follow, there were some gaps in recruitment records and staff training, and governance arrangements were not always effective. The provider had recognised there were some shortfalls within the service prior to our assessment and had begun to take action to strengthen oversight and documentation.
