Date of Assessment: 9 September 2025 to 11 September 2025.

Total Access Medical Diagnosis is a private online doctor and pharmacy. Patients request medicines by completing an online questionnaire, which is then reviewed by a qualified prescriber. If the request is approved, the provider’s in-house pharmacy usually prepares the medicine and sends it directly to the patient.

The prescribing service is registered with the CQC for treatment of disease, disorder or injury. Its dispensing activities are regulated by the General Pharmaceutical Council. The service is located in Norwich, but this is not open to the public and patients only access the service online. Many of the staff employed work remotely, whilst a number of customer service staff and dispensing staff work on site.

The service was registered with the CQC in 2024, and this was the first inspection of this service.

During our assessment, we found the provider to be in breach of our regulations in relation to good governance. We have asked the provider for an action plan in response to the concerns found at this assessment.

People's experience of the service

Updated 26 February 2025

Periodic surveys were completed by patients to evaluate their experiences of their course of treatment, for example of weight-loss medication. We saw evidence that where complex issues were raised by patients during the consultation process, the provider worked with them to find a safe solution.

Total Access Medical Diagnosis used Trustpilot to obtain patient feedback. Much of this feedback related to the dispensing process, such as the efficiency of delivery, which is not regulated by the CQC. The average rating was 4.4/5 stars out of 7,067 reviews. Where patient concerns were identified in the feedback, in some but not all cases, the provider replied, stating the action they had taken to remedy the issue at hand.
