Our view of the service
We undertook a follow-up on-site inspection on 23 September 2026. This was carried out to review the actions taken by the registered provider to improve the quality of care and to assess whether the practice was meeting legal requirements.
We had previously undertaken an announced on-site inspection of Apollonia Dental Cosmetic Centre on 10 March 2026. We had found the registered provider was not providing well-led care and was in breach of Regulation 17 Good governance of the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations 2014.
During our follow-up inspection, we found the practice had met regulations.
The practice had improved the systems to identify and manage risks. In particular, risks associated with fire safety, maintenance of equipment and premises, medical emergencies, hazardous substances and staff recruitment. The provider should ensure remaining recommendations from the fire risk assessment and the electrical installation condition report are acted upon in a timely manner.
The practice had effective systems to receive, review and act on patient safety alerts.
Apollonia Dental Cosmetic Centre (also known as Impact Dental) is in Liverpool and provides private dental care and treatment for adults and children.
There was small step to access to the practice and car parking spaces available near the practice.
The practice had 3 treatment rooms. At the time of our inspection, there was a total of 10 staff, of which there were 4 dentists, 1 dental hygienist, 3 qualified dental nurses, 1 trainee dental nurse and the practice manager. We gathered feedback from staff and spoke to a range of staff during our inspection, including 1 dentist, the hygienist, 2 dental nurses and the practice manager.
