We carried out this announced on-site focused inspection on 30 July 2026.
We found the practice had not met all regulations.
Effective leadership was not in place, and recruitment procedures were not followed. After the inspection, evidence was sent that the provider was addressing the concerns raised.
The systems to identify and manage risks including infection prevention and control were ineffective.
Medicines were not handled in line with current guidance.
Staff provided care and treatment in line with current guidance. They treated patients with dignity and respect and ensured access to care, support, and treatment when required.
On the day of our inspection, we spoke with 2 patients. Their feedback provided a positive view of the care provided by the practice. They were given clear information to help them make informed choices about their treatment and any associated costs, involved in decisions about their care and were supported to maintain their oral health.
The practice is in Leeds city centre and provides private dental care and treatment for adults and children.
The practice is in the basement of a building in the centre of Leeds. Access is via a flight of stairs. Car parking spaces are available near the practice in city centre car parks.
The practice had 2 treatment rooms. At the time of our inspection, there was a total of 3 staff, of which there were 1 dentist, 1 trainee dental nurse, and 1 volunteer receptionist. We gathered feedback from staff and spoke to all staff during our inspection.
The provider was not complying with Regulation 17 Good governance. Full details of the regulation the provider was not meeting are within the inspection report.
We have asked the provider for an action plan in response to the concerns found at this inspection.
