During an assessment under our new approach

We carried out this announced on-site inspection on Wednesday 20 May 2026.

We found the practice had met regulations

The practice had effective systems to identify and manage risks, including infection prevention and control.

Staff had the skills, knowledge and experience to carry out their roles.

Recruitment procedures reflected current legislation and there was effective leadership and a culture of continuous improvement.

Staff provided care and treatment in line with current guidance. They treated patients with dignity and respect and ensured access to care, support, and treatment when required.

The practice is in Chesham and provides NHS and private dental care and treatment for adults and children.

The practice had 7 treatment rooms. At the time of our inspection, there was a total of 12 staff, of which there were 3 dentists, 5 dental nurses, 1 locum dental hygienist, 2 receptionists and the registered manager. We gathered feedback from staff and spoke to a range of staff during our inspection, including 1 dentist, 2 dental nurses and the registered manager.

The service provides cosmetic treatments, some of which are not in scope of CQC regulation and are not covered in our inspection.

The people we spoke with expressed a high level of satisfaction with the service.

One person said to us 'I've been coming here for years. They're all very good here'.

Another person, who was relatively new to the service, told us that they wished they'd found it a long time ago.

One person who had been using the service for many years said that they thought the dentists were excellent and they had found the other staff there to be very helpful too.

Another person told us that they thought the service had improved over recent years.

People said they had found all the staff to be friendly and helpful. They said that dentists and dental hygienists always explained what they were going to do before carrying out a procedure and always exercised great care when carrying out the treatment itself.

Most of the people we spoke to had been attending the practice for a number of years. One person said that the practice it had improved in recent years.
