During an assessment under our new approach
The assessment took place between 20 and 27 April 2026. This was the first inspection for this service. Legh House is a care home providing accommodation and personal care for older adults. The service can support up to 19 people, and at the time of the assessment, 18 people were living at the service.
The management team were capable and knowledgeable about the service and the people living there. Staff knew people's care needs and how best to support them, feedback from staff, people and relatives demonstrated this. The home worked in collaboration with community health professionals to ensure people received good continuity of care. Safe staffing levels were in place, and recruitment processes were managed safely.
The service promoted a person‑centred culture, offering people choice and control over most aspects of daily life. Risks to people’s health, safety and wellbeing were assessed and routinely reviewed. People’s health needs were met, and the service maintained strong working relationships with stakeholders and other agencies, including health and social care professionals.
The environment was clean and well maintained and there were regular checks of the home and equipment to ensure it was safe.
