During an assessment under our new approach
Date of assessment: 7 July 2025 when we first visited the location site. We conducted a further site visit on 16 July 2025. The home provides nursing, residential and dementia care to a maximum of 23 people. At the time of our assessment there were 23 people living at the service. This is the first assessment for this service under the new provider.
At the time of the assessment the service was undergoing significant refurbishment within the home. This had been appropriately risk assessed, and people and their relatives had been kept up to date of ongoing work. This did not impact on the care provided.
The provider had a proactive and positive culture of safety, based on openness and honesty.
We found effective systems were in place to assess and mitigate risks to people and keep them safe. The provider monitored people’s care and treatment to continuously improve it. The staff and management team treated people with kindness, empathy and compassion and respected their privacy and dignity.
Staff listened to concerns about safety and investigated and reported safety events. The provider made sure there were enough qualified, skilled and experienced staff, who received effective support, supervision and development.
The provider made sure medicines and treatments were safe and met people’s needs.
