We carried out this announced, on-site inspection on 11 June 2025.
We found the practice had met the regulations.
Infection control procedures in place were effective.
The practice had effective systems to identify and manage risks.
Recruitment procedures reflected current legislation and there was effective leadership and a culture of continuous improvement.
Patients’ care and treatment was provided in line with current guidance.
Patients were treated with dignity and respect and at the time of our inspection, could access care, support and treatment when required.
Night and Day Emergency Dentist is part of Night and Day Emergency Dentists, a dental group provider. The practice is in Acton, in the London Borough of Ealing and provides emergency private dental care and treatment mainly for adults and some children.
There was step-free access to the practice and car parking spaces available near the practice.
The practice had 2 treatment rooms. At the time of our inspection, there was a total of 11 staff, of which there were 6 dentists, 4 dental nurses 2 of whom covered reception duties, and one trainee dental nurse. The practice team was supported by a compliance manager. We gathered feedback from staff. We spoke to the registered manager and the compliance manager.
Staff feedback forms were shared with the team ahead of the inspection, giving staff an opportunity to confidentially share their views about the practice. Staff responses were considered as part of the inspection.
