Our view of the service
Jason Hylton Court is a nursing home for adults of all ages and can accommodate up to 40 people. Our assessment commenced with a visit to the service on the 30 October and 35 people were using the service. After our visit to the service the assessment continued off site where we reviewed documents and gathered feedback from people, up until 20 November 2025.
Staff were kind and caring. People were involved in decisions about their care. They were supported by staff who knew them well and were confident and understood how to help them safely. A variety of activities were planned according to people’s individual needs and preferences.
People’s independence, dignity and privacy were respected.
Care plans and risk assessments reflected people’s assessed needs and helped to inform staff on how to reduce risks to people. Staff received training and on-going guidance and support from the management team, and this helped them provide safe and effective care.
The management team embedded a learning culture that looked to continuously improve. They worked with partners and involved people, relatives and staff in how the service was developed.
People's experience of this service
People were positive about living at Jason Hylton Court. They confirmed they were involved in decisions about their care and in planning activities within their home. We observed a range of activities were available and matched to people’s abilities and interests. People were supported to maintain their connections to their families and friends. People spoke highly about the meal quality and variety. People told us the staff were friendly and caring and confirmed they felt safe at the home. They confirmed if they had any concerns they would speak to the registered manager or their relative.
