Our view of the service
Date of Assessment: 2 July to 15 August 2025. Homecare Plus Limited operates a homecare service for people living in their own homes with a range of physical and mental health conditions within the North Tyneside and Northumberland areas predominantly. At the time of the assessment, 21 people used the service and received personal care.
There was enough caring and thoughtful staff, employed appropriately and who had received suitable training .The provider ensured consistent staff attended care calls wherever practicable and had in place contingency plans for sickness and other absences. Staff felt supported by managers.
Medicines were well managed. We gave feedback to enhance procedures further. Staff followed infection prevention and control procedures. People’s dietary needs were well supported.
The provider had a range of quality assurance procedures in place and continued to review these to ensure a quality service was in place.
People's experience of this service
Most people and their relatives told us they were content with the care provided and any issues raised with the provider were dealt with. We did receive some feedback about last minute changes of staff and some calls running late.
People thought staff were kind and supportive and any issues they had with staff were dealt with.
People said they felt safe, and this was confirmed by relatives. People and relatives told us on occasions it took longer than it should to gain a response from the office. We brought this to the attention of the provider.
