Our view of the service
Yourlife (Clevedon) is a domiciliary care service registered to provide personal care to individuals living in their own homes. This service provides care to people living in their own apartments in an assisted living complex. CQC only inspects where people are receiving the regulated activity of personal care. This is help with tasks related to personal hygiene and eating. At the time of the inspection the service supported 6 people with personal care. Date of assessment: 21 May 2025 to 2 June 2025.
We gathered information from people who use the service, relatives, the registered manager, senior care staff and care staff. Along with senior management. We sought feedback from health and social care professionals, although no feedback was provided.
We reviewed all 34 quality statements and found people were receiving good care. People had care provided by staff who were skilled and competent to support them with good care. Staff were provided training and further development opportunities and all staff felt supported, and said it was a nice place to work. People’s care plans contained important information about the person and how they wanted their care to be provided. Guidance and risk assessments were completed, and staff knew people and their individual needs.
People were supported by staff who gave them choice and control and who promoted their independence. People told us care could be adapted to their individual needs and staff were available to support in the event of an emergency. The registered manager held regular meetings with staff, including supervisions. These were an opportunity to provide training to staff so there was a positive learning culture within the organisation. The provider had systems that identified areas of improvement and senior managers undertook visits and completed quality reviews of the service.
