Face Perfect Clinic is an independent nurse-led clinic located in Leeds, West Yorkshire. The provider is registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) under the Health and Social Care Act 2008 in respect of some, but not all, of the services it provides. There are some exemptions from regulation by CQC which relate to particular types of regulated activities and services, and these are set out in Schedule 2 of The Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations 2014.

The provider is registered with CQC to deliver the regulated activity of Treatment of Disease, Disorder or Injury (TDDI). As part of this assessment, we only reviewed services delivered under this regulated activity. Therefore, our assessment focused on the provision of treatments for hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating), bruxism (teeth grinding and jaw clenching) and acne. We did not assess or report on services that fall outside the scope of the provider's CQC registration.

The service had effective systems and processes in place to support safe care. There was strong oversight of risks, incidents, staff training and medicines management. Staff were appropriately trained and supported, safeguarding arrangements were effective, and there was a positive culture of learning and improvement. People received care in a safe, clean environment, with systems in place to support safety and continuity of care.

The service delivered effective care and treatment that reflected people’s needs and preferences. Assessments were comprehensive, people were involved in decisions about their care, and consent processes supported informed decision-making. Staff followed evidence-based guidance, monitored outcomes where appropriate, and worked with other healthcare professionals to support continuity of care.

The service promoted a culture of kindness, compassion and respect. People told us they felt listened to, involved in decisions about their care and treated as individuals. Staff supported people to make informed choices and tailored care to meet their needs and preferences. People’s dignity, privacy and wellbeing were respected, and staff worked within a positive and supportive culture that enabled them to deliver compassionate, person-centred care.

The service was responsive to peoples' needs and preferences. Care was personalised, people were provided with accessible information, and feedback was actively sought and used to improve services. Flexible appointment arrangements, reasonable adjustments and inclusive practices helped ensure people could access care and achieve positive outcomes.

The service was well led, with clear governance and effective leadership arrangements in place. Staff described a positive and inclusive culture where they felt supported, valued and able to raise concerns. Leaders used audits, incidents, feedback and performance information to drive improvement and support the delivery of safe, high quality care.

Since the last inspection, the registered provider had made significant improvements and is no longer in breach of regulation 17 (good governance).

This service was placed in Special Measures on 9 January 2026. The registered provider demonstrated improvements that have been made. The service is no longer rated as inadequate overall or in any of the key questions. Therefore, this service is no longer in Special Measures.

People's experience of the service

Updated 25 February 2026

As part of the assessment process, we asked the provider to invite people to share their experience of the service via the Care Quality Commission's Give Feedback on Care process. We received 84 pieces of feedback from people who had used the service. Of these, 83 were positive and described consistently high levels of satisfaction with the care provided. People frequently commented on the empathy, professionalism and knowledge of staff, stating that they felt welcomed, reassured and put at ease throughout their treatment journey. Feedback highlighted that staff prioritised people's safety, provided clear information to support informed consent, and delivered personalised care tailored to individual needs. People also told us they felt listened to, valued and supported, and praised the quality of aftercare provided. In addition, many comments referred to the cleanliness and presentation of the clinic environment.

We also reviewed feedback from an independent external patient feedback platform. This showed that the service had received 37 five-star reviews within the previous 7 months. Comments reflected themes consistent with those received through the Give Feedback on Care process, including the friendliness and professionalism of staff and the positive experiences people had when accessing treatment at the clinic.
