During an assessment under our new approach

Date of Assessment 23 June to 7 July 2026. This was the first assessment of this unrated provider under the single assessment framework. Elite Care UK is a home care provider, providing personal care to people in their own homes, including children and people with dementia. At the time of the assessment, the service supported 1 person with a regulated activity.

There was a positive safety culture, and people were protected from abuse and avoidable harm. This was demonstrated through clear and embedded systems to identify, assess and manage risk. Safeguarding processes were well understood by staff and supported a positive learning culture to continuously improve practice.

There were appropriate recruitment processes in place to support safe staffing. Staff completed relevant training and supervision to support best practice in line with relevant guidance and legislation. However, documentation was not always embedded with relevant legislation. For example, care documentation did not reference important legislation such as The Mental Capacity Act, 2005 (MCA, 2005).

Care was based on thorough assessments of people’s needs, and care was regularly reviewed with people to ensure care documentation reflected what was important to them. Staff used relevant training to provide overall monitoring and improve people’s outcomes. Where required, the provider worked with relevant professionals to ensure people received co-ordinated, effective care.

People were treated with kindness, compassion and respect, and people provided exceptional feedback. Staff demonstrated a strong commitment to maintaining dignity and supporting people’s independence. Care was goal orientated and person centred.

People’s immediate needs were well responded to, and care was adapted to reflect changes in individual circumstances. People were actively encouraged to be involved in decision making, and communication needs were tailored for. However, communication needs and end of life preferences were not always identified in care plans. People were not provided information in a format which was accessible to them.

Although the provider promoted values within the service, these were not fully embedded in staff supervisions. Leaders demonstrated compassion and capability, however, there were not always appropriate oversight systems in place to support quality improvement, for example, care plan audits. The provider has demonstrated a positive approach to learning and improvement during the assessment process and assured us appropriate changes will be made to strengthen systems.
