We conducted this assessment because the practice had not been assessed since 2016. Since that time the provider had changed and the service did not have a current rating. We assessed all quality statements across the safe, effective, caring, responsive and well led key questions.
The Blundellsands Surgery is a GP practice that delivers services from the location at 1 Warren Road Liverpool L23 6TZ to approximately 10,500 patients under a contract held with NHS England. The National General Practice Profiles states that the demographics of the population are mainly white British with approximately 5.6% Black, Asian and Minority Ethnicity. Information published by Office for Health Improvement and Disparities shows that deprivation within the practice population group is in the 7th decile (7 of 10). The lower the decile, the more deprived the practice population is relative to others. This assessment considered the demographics of the people using the service, the context the service was working within and how this impacted service delivery.
