During an assessment under our new approach
Date of assessment 23 April to 01 May 2025. Nodens Manor is a care home supporting older people, some of whom live with dementia. The service is registered with the Care Quality Commission to provide accommodation for people who require nursing or personal care. At the time of our assessment there were 39 people living at Noden Manor Care Home. This was the first assessment of the service, we assessed all 5 Key Questions of Safe, Effective, Caring, Responsive and Well Led. Staff treated people with kindness and compassion. The service cared about and promoted the wellbeing of its staff. There were enough staff with the right skills, qualifications and experience.
People and their relatives were involved in planning their care and involved in decisions about their care. Staff made sure people understood their care and treatment to enable them to give informed consent. If people did not have capacity, staff involved those who were important to the person when decisions needed to be made in their best interest. People knew how to give feedback and were confident the home took it seriously and acted on it. Leaders were visible, knowledgeable and supportive, helping staff develop in their roles.
