Date of assessment: 13 to 23 April 2026. Your Priority Healthcare Limited is a domiciliary care agency providing personal care to adults of all ages who may be living with dementia, a sensory impairment, a physical disability or a mental health condition. We inspected this service to assess whether improvements have been made since our last inspection where we rated the service inadequate and placed it into special measures. We also imposed conditions on the provider’s registration. This meant the provider had to seek the permission of the Care Quality Commission (CQC) to provide care to any new service users and submit a monthly progress report relating to the widespread concerns found at the last inspection. This inspection found improvements meaning the service is no longer in special measures. We found that the previous breaches relating to safe care and treatment, consent, fit and proper persons employed, and governance had been met due to improvements made. Conditions imposed on the provider’s registration will be removed. CQC only inspects where people receive personal care. This is help with tasks relating to personal hygiene, eating, and drinking. Where they do, we also consider any wider social care provided. At the time of our assessment, 21 people were receiving the regulated activity of personal care.

The service had worked hard to make improvements since our last inspection in May 2025, and this had been successful in improving the quality of the care people received. Whilst we still found some shortfalls, overall, we found people received safe and effective care that met their needs and made them feel valued. Staff were happy in their roles and felt supported. The governance system in place, whilst requiring further development, had helped to monitor and assess the service and drive improvement. We found the new manager to be knowledgeable, caring, and passionate in continuing to enhance people’s experiences.

The service has been in special measures since 24 June 2025. The provider demonstrated improvements have been made. The service is no longer rated inadequate overall or in any key questions. Therefore, the service is no longer in special measures.

People's experience of the service

Updated 7 April 2026

People consistently told us they received safe and effective care from staff who were kind, caring, and skilled in their roles; they told us their needs were met. People felt safe receiving the service as they had confidence in the staff who supported them. They saw the same group of staff who knew people’s needs ensuring they received continuity of care. Data showed, and people confirmed, that staff arrived on time and stayed for the allocated amount of time. People told us they were not rushed and received patient care that considered them as individuals. We were given examples of how staff respected people and ensured their dignity whilst encouraging their independence. People spoke highly about the staff that supported them and relatives appreciated the opportunity to be able to access notes made about their loved ones which provided them with reassurance. People told us they felt listened to and involved in their care and reviews of it. Whilst few had the need to raise any concerns or complaints, for those that had, they told us these were managed promptly and effectively, rectifying the shortfall. The service had an on-call service that provided support outside of office hours and people felt assured by this giving us examples of where they had to use this and the kind of support provided. All the people who gave us feedback told us they were happy with the care provided. One comment received from a person who uses the service was representative of people’s experience as a whole; they said, “Things have been a lot sharper since we have had the new manager, they are more efficient. I would have no qualms in recommending the service to others; I am happy with everything.”
