During an assessment under our new approach
We saw patients and those working at the service were protected and kept safe. Facilities and equipment met the needs of patients, and were clean and well-maintained. The directors who delivered the clinical care at the service had the required skills, qualifications and experience, and we saw that they had received additional training which enabled them to deliver effective care. The service fully assessed need, and involved patients in discussions and decisions about their treatment. Care was based on latest evidence and good practice. If needed, the service worked with other health professionals to achieve the best outcomes for patients. We heard that patients were treated with kindness and compassion. There was a culture of continuous improvement, and a drive to improve patient outcomes.
