Our current view of the service

Good

Updated 1 October 2025

This assessment was carried out between 11 and 12 November 2025. We visited the home on both days.

The home specialised in the care of older people, including people living with dementia. At the time of the inspection visits there were 23 people living at the home.

There was a new manager at the home who had applied to the Care Quality Commission to register. The manager was open, approachable and receptive to feedback.

At our previous assessment the service was in breach of regulation in relation to the safe management of medicines and governance. At this inspection we found improvements had been made and they were no longer in breach of regulations.

Medicines were safely managed but further minor improvements were needed.

The new manager had implemented more robust quality monitoring systems which enabled them to highlight and address shortfalls. A new senior team gave leadership and direction to the home and staff commented positively on improvements being made.

There were sufficient numbers of staff to provide safe and effective care to people. Staff worked in partnership with people, their representatives and other professionals to ensure needs were addressed in a way which did not discriminate and ensured people had access to appropriate services.

Each person had a care plan which made sure staff had the information they needed to provide person centred care to people.
