We saw evidence that service leadership, management and governance assured high-quality, child-centred care; supported learning and innovation; and promoted an open, fair culture.

We saw clear and effective governance, management and accountability arrangements. Staff understood their role and responsibilities and were suitably trained to carry out these responsibilities. Induction and ongoing training was comprehensive for all staff. There were mandated training opportunities, as well as hands-on learning within each residential home provided by clinical leads who were available at all times for staff. Staff could access refreshers and updates on specific learning requirements, and were supported in their professional development.
