During an assessment under our new approach
Date of Assessment: 16 to 19 June 2025. LONGROYDE SURGERY is a GP practice located in Brighouse at 38 Castle Avenue, HD6 3HT. The provider is registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) to deliver the regulated activities; Diagnostic and screening procedure, Family Planning, Maternity and Midwifery services and Treatment of disease, disorder or Injury.
The practice is situated in the West Yorkshire Integrated Care Board area and provides personal medical care to 5,014 patients. Information published by the Office for Health Improvement and Disparities, rates the level of deprivation within the practice population as 2 on a scale of 1 to 10. The lower the decile, the more deprived it is relative to others. The National General Practice Profiles state that the ethnic make-up of the practice area is 92.4 % White, 3.8% Asian, 1.1 % Black, 2.2% Mixed and 0.5% Other.
The assessment considered the demographics of the people using the service, the context the service was working within and how this impacted service delivery.
This is the first assessment for the service since their registration with CQC. At this assessment we reviewed the key questions, safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led. The service is rated good overall, and good for each key question.
