Cofton Park Manor Care Home is registered to provide care and support for up to 72 people. The service provides residential and nursing care for older people, some of whom are living with dementia. This was the first inspection for the service since their registration; therefore, we included all the quality statements under each of the 5 key questions. The inspection took place on the 20 January and 26 January 2026. At the time of the inspection, there were 65 people living at the service. People were protected from harm by effective systems and processes. People had care which was person centred and focused on people’s wishes and interests. Staff were exceptional in their approach and communication with people and care was taken to ensure all people had positive care and attention. Recruitment procedures were robust and there were enough staff to meet people’s needs.New staff had a comprehensive induction and staff were provided with training which was appropriate to their roles. People’s medicines were managed safely, although some areas where further improvements could be made were identified. People were positively supported and encouraged to make choices and there was a focus from staff on ensuring people’s rights were respected. People enjoyed a fresh,varied and healthy well-balanced diet. The provider and registered manager actively sought feedback from people in the service and the range of activities and opportunities for people were shaped by the engagement of people in their care. People had access to health professionals when needed and the provider had made strong links with the local community. There were comprehensive systems of management and governance. The provider and registered manager showed a drive for improvement and providing the best levels of care.
