During an assessment under our new approach
Date of Assessment: 3 June 2025 to 9 July 2025. 2 inspectors carried out a site visit to the agency’s office on 16 June 2025. We gave the provider 36 hours’ notice of our visit to ensure they were available to assist with our assessment. This was the first assessment of the service since it was registered with us in September 2022. Komplex Community Ltd is a supported living service. It provides support to children aged 13-18 years and adults under 65yrs with a learning disability, autistic spectrum disorder and mental health difficulties’. We have assessed the service against ‘Right support, right care, right culture’ guidance to make judgements about whether the provider guaranteed people with a learning disability and autistic people respect, equality, dignity, choices, independence and good access to local communities that most people take for granted. At the time of our visit, 8 people were receiving support with their personal care needs.
The provider had a good learning culture where people, relatives and staff felt confident in raising concerns. People were protected and kept safe from harm or abuse. Staff had been recruited safely and there were enough staff with the right skills, qualifications and experience to support people. Managers made sure staff received training and regular appraisals to carry out their role effectively. Staff managed medicines well and involved people in planning any changes. People were involved in planning and reviewing the support they needed. Staff worked with other agencies involved in people’s care for the best outcomes and smooth transitions when moving between services. Leaders and staff had a shared vision and culture based on listening, learning and trust. Staff understood their roles and responsibilities. There were audits and checks in place which were effective in identifying shortfalls and driving improvements.
