Accommodation for persons who require nursing or personal care

Condition of this registration relating to carrying out this regulated activity

The registered provider must implement effective systems to ensure staff receive and adhere to training provided and

a) provide written evidence to confirm every staff member has received updated Moving and handling training which includes both theory and practical training. To ensure all staff have the knowledge and skills to support service users safely and in line with current good practice guidelines.

b) ensure staff competency checks are undertaken to ensure training is provided and implemented in line with the training delivered.

The registered provider must review and have in place adequate systems and processes to report and investigate accidents, incidents and safeguarding concerns. In particular the register provider must ensure all falls are analysed and appropriate action taken to mitigate the risk of further falls.

The registered provider must review and have in place an adequate system and process(es) to report and investigate accidents, incidents and safeguarding concerns. In particular the register provider must ensure regular monitoring of pressure relief for those service users at risk of sore skin or where service users have a pressure sore.

The registered provider must review and have in place an adequate system and process(es) to report and investigate accidents, incidents and safeguarding concerns. In particular the register provider must ensure the registered manager and staff are aware of their responsibilities to alert safeguarding concerns and how to do this in line with the provider’s safeguarding policy and protocol.

After submission of the first action plan/ written report, the registered provider must send a monthly report on the first Monday of the month to the Care Quality Commission in relation to conditions 1-4. The report should contain the areas of risk identified, action taken to mitigate the risk, details of the timescales for improvements who will be responsible for them and what the quality assurance arrangements will be going forward.

The Registered Provider must only Accommodate a maximum of 43 service users at Tendercare Home Ltd.

The Registered Provider must not provide nursing care under Accommodation for persons who require personal or nursing care at Tendercare Home Ltd.
