Caring
Caring – this means we looked for evidence that the provider involved people and treated them with compassion, kindness, dignity and respect.
At our last assessment we rated this key question requires improvement. At this assessment the rating has changed to good. This meant people were supported and treated with dignity and respect; and involved as partners in their care.

Kindness, compassion and dignity
The provider always treated people with kindness, empathy and compassion and respected their privacy and dignity. Staff treated colleagues from other organisations with kindness and respect. Staff were kind, caring, and actively engaged with people, showing compassion in their interactions. We observed people sitting with staff, enjoying conversations about upcoming activities, and the atmosphere was positive, welcoming, and homely. People appeared relaxed in the presence of staff, and the provider respected people’s privacy and dignity. Previous issues relating to people’s declining health needs and mobility had been reassessed, and some individuals had moved to more suitable accommodation to better meet their needs. Personal information was no longer accessible in communal areas.
