During an assessment under our new approach
We carried out this inspection on the 24 June 2025. This assessment was carried out in response to CQC receiving information of concern. The service is a residential care home registered to provide accommodation and personal to care for adults over 65 yrs and those living with Dementia. The provider’s systems were not always effective in ensuring people received safe care and treatment. Systems to review and monitor medicines were not effective and did not ensure medicines were administered safely. The provider had systems in place to assess people’s needs and develop care plans, but these were not always effective. There were enough safely recruited staff to support people safely and they had received training and were supported in their role. Staff worked with other agencies to support people and understood how to safeguard people from abuse. Staff worked flexibly to support people and helped to maintain their health and wellbeing. Staff supported people to make choices and decisions about their care and remain as independent as possible. Staff were kind and caring and treated people with respect and dignity. The provider was in breach of the legal regulations relating to safe care and treatment and governance systems. We have asked the provider for an action plan in response to the concerns found at this inspection.
