Effective
Effective – this means we looked for evidence that people’s care, treatment and support achieved good outcomes and promoted a good quality of life, based on best available evidence. At our previous inspection we rated this key question good. At this assessment the rating has remained good. This meant people’s outcomes were consistently good, and people’s feedback confirmed this.

Assessing needs
The provider made sure people’s care and treatment was effective by assessing and reviewing their health, care, wellbeing and communication needs with them. The provider’s procedures ensured the service could meet people’s needs before they were admitted. Pre-admission assessments were person centred and contained detailed information related to the person ‘s needs, such as health conditions, mobility, and communication. Staff demonstrated an understanding of people needs and confirmed they had access to sufficient information before people started using the service. Records showed care plans were regularly reviewed, and the provider made use of appropriate assessment tools.
