Accommodation for persons who require nursing or personal care

Condition of this registration relating to carrying out this regulated activity

The Registered Provider must not admit any service users to Parkside Nursing Home without the prior written agreement of the Commission. This includes respite, emergency admissions and re-admissions.

The Registered Provider must review all care plans and risk assessments related to pressure area care, wound management, choking, health / clinical risks of services users to ensure that all service users are receiving safe care and treatment. This must be completed immediately. Evidence of this review and details of measures in place to reduce risk must be provided to the commission by 5 pm on Tuesday 27 August 2019.

Starting 26 August 2019 and every Monday thereafter, the Registered Provider must provide a written weekly rota to the commission detailing the arrangements in place to ensure sufficiently trained staff are deployed at all times for the following week and sufficient clinical oversight of the home.

Within one month of the imposition of this condition, and monthly thereafter, the provider must conduct a formal audit of the quality and safety of Parkside Nursing Home. This must include medicines management, safeguarding, accidents, incidents and injuries and care delivery documentation including risk assessments, care plans. Your report should detail any remedial or immediate action taken along with any other action that you plan to take as a result of the findings. Where relevant it should include associated timescales and highlight who will be responsible to ensure that the required improvements are made. This must be provided to the Commission on the first Monday of every month, commencing 2 September 2019.

Terms of this registration relating to carrying out this regulated activity

The Registered Provider must only accommodate a maximum of 50 service users at Parkside Nursing Home.
